Day 65 - Recap, skidding tires, arrests....

Today's recap is late because frankly its a difficult one to write (plus I had a few other things going on). The reason being, several protesters could have been maimed or killed because of the juvenile action of one parole agent.

This is a long one, lots of details to cover.

Various regular protesters have different opinions on the parole agents. There are some that see them as the good guys. They are peace officers there to do their jobs, plain and simple. Others, while they know the PA's are the good guys, feel that if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

The parole division of the newly renamed California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation placed David Allyn Dokich here and they can move him. The parole agents are representatives of the department and the easiest ones to vent at since they are there 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. And then there is the whole issue of the amount of money the PA's are making each night to babysit David Allyn Dokich. Its not chump change.

The parole agents usually arrive right around 8 pm each night to start their 10 hour baby sitting duties. Typically you will see several protesters LEGALLY walking back and forth across the driveway. When vehicles approach the protesters move off to the side and most give them an earful. There have been times when I am on one side of a parole agents vehicle waving at them while other protesters are on the other side yelling at them. Thats quite common and frankly there is nothing wrong with it, people are entitled to verbally express their displeasure if they choose to do so.

It was just about 8 pm. Four women protesters were walking back and forth across the driveway. A parole agent vehicle had just come from the south and whipped into the driveway. They do this often; they see a gap, hit the gas and go for it. Its very dangerous but that does not seem to diswade them.

Shortly after that I saw a gold Ford Focus traveling south on Old Elsinore. I was standing along side the road directly across from the driveway of Last Chance. My eyes were on the gold Focus because parole agent Nollet drives a gold Focus. However, the sun was sitting and I could not see the driver in the darkened passenger compartment.

I followed the Focus with my vision, still trying to make out the driver. I watched as it made a left turn into the driveway doing at least 20 mph. As its front tires left the pavement and made contact with the dirt and gravel the driver slammed on the brakes and the Focus started sliding. Directly in its path was Molly.

Molly and 3 other women had been walking back and forth across the driveway. Molly was looking towards camp pervert, not the road and thus did not see the parole agents vehicle approaching. Her first awareness of the approaching danger was the sound of skidding tires.

Molly turned, bent and placed her hands toward the hood of the vehicle. It came to a stop with just a few inches to spare. Just a few inches separated a 3,000 pound vehicle and 4'11" Molly.

I'm standing across the street watching this and its just not registering in my head. This looks like the vehicle parole agent Nollet drives, but he would not do something like this. I have spoken with agent Nollet on several occasions, sometimes when he is entering the driveway, other times at the property line and even on the telephone. He has always seemed like a reasonable fellow. Looks like I was wrong in that assessment.

Molly is not a big fan of the parole agents. She gives them an earful at every opportunity. Her favorite slogan is 'tax dollar whores'. She may be onto something when you consider they make about $550 a night, each, to babysit Dokich.

I heard Molly yell "Don't you dare". She was genuinely fearing for her life. She moved off to the side and the parole agent replied "Next time get the hell out of the way" and proceeded to drive up to the halfway home. Nice.

On multiple occasions other people entering and exiting Camp Pervert have pulled this stunt on us. Not really trying to hit us with their vehicles but seeing how close they can get in an attempt to scare us. We have filed multiple police reports but nothing has ever come of it. However, I never imagined I would see this type of wreckless behaviour from a sworn peace officer.

It took a few seconds for my brain to kick into gear, this really just happened. Molly was way ahead of me. Before I knew it she was in her SUV heading south on Old Elsinore. She made a u-turn and headed back north.

At this point I thought she was going to drive up to the house, she was that pissed. I ran over and stood in the driveway. Nope, she went right past me and headed up to the property beside the sex offender clown house.

I double timed it on foot, thinking she was going to plow through the newly erected, tax payer funded rent-a-fence. Thankfully that did not happen. She parked and started with the verbal barrage. Now Molly may be under 5' but she has the voice of a giant. Even from the road I could clearly hear her yelling. She dared the parole agent to try that when her husband was there because if he did he would get his ass kicked. 'Ass kicked' may not be an accurate prediction, I'm going with broken in half, her husband is one big dude.

Of course that won't happen. Threating a woman with a vehicle is one thing, doing it when she is with her husband is an entirely different matter and actually requires courage. It would also require a fair amount of stupidity when you consider the shear size of her husband. Did I mention he was a big guy?

It took me a couple of minutes to get up there and as I arrived Molly was in her SUV heading back down to the road. I stayed for a few minutes and headed back down.

Two Riverside County Sheriff Deputies arrived. Our hopes sunk when we realized they were Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb. These are the same two deputies that did what amounted to nothing when a lone protester with his arm in a sling was chased and threatened with murder by 2 people from the clown house. Its odd, we shout "get him out" and we get helicopters, guns and handcuffs. They threaten murder and nothing happens. Welcome to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb. I'm not sure which is which.

Deputies Dee and Dumb were trying to convince Molly to do nothing. At one point one of them stated "well we did not see it happen". Is that the new standard for Riverside law enforcement? The deputy has to see a crime committed for them to act on it? Well that would certainly help alleviate any prison over crowding issues.

Molly was having none of it. She wanted to perform a citizens arrest on parole agent Nollet. Fortunately Sgt. Brown arrived. This is not Brown-nose, this is another Brown, the good Brown, the Brown that actually waves at us. We all like Sgt. Brown, we need more deputies like him.

It was agreed that Molly could perform a citizens arrest. Parole agent Nollet was walked down to the road. Molly placed him under citizens arrest for assault with a deadly weapon.

Parole agent Nollet retaliated by placing Molly under citizens arrest for penal code 148.

California penal code 148. (a) (1) Every person who willfully resists, delays, or obstructs any public officer, peace officer, or an emergency medical technician, as defined in Division 2.5 (commencing with Section 1797) of the Health and Safety Code, in the discharge or attempt to discharge any duty of his or her office or employment, when no other punishment is prescribed, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment in a county jail not to exceed one year, or by both that fine and imprisonment.

So Molly, by LEGALLY walking across a driveway, was some how interfering with agent Nollet?

What about the other 3 women walking across the driveway?

What about anyone in a crosswalk that delayed agent Nollet?

What about the car that was not quite driving the speed limit that agent Nollet was stuck behind?

Did agent Nollet get stuck in traffic because of an accident? If so, shouldn't the driver at fault be arrested for PC 148?

Yes, its ridiculous.

Agent Nollet did something incredibly stupid tonight. Molly could have been killed by his willful disregard for a pedestrians safety.

A little boy could have lost a mother, a husband could have lost a wife, and we all could have lost a wonderful woman doing her best to protect the community.
