Day 165 - Recap

No protest, it was windy and cold and rain was forecast, although it did not actually rain until 10 pm.

See you tomorrow.

Illinois State Police step up efforts for halloween

Halloween: A day for fun costumes and tasty sweets but, for some sex offenders, it is a lot more than that. It can be the perfect playground, with children literally knocking at your door.

"Because there are numerous opportunities for him to do his nasty stuff if he wanted to," said psychologist Dr. Paul Hauck. "First of all, it's dark outside. Second, he can disguise himself very easily."

And that's why the Illinois State Police and Rock Island County officials are stepping up efforts that night. They want to make sure the only thing kids get on Halloween is a giant bag of candy. They say they will pay special attention to where sex offenders live and if they're opening their doors to children.

"Make a point of checking and seeing if anybody at that house is soliciting people to come there or soliciting children to come there," said Kraig Schwigen of Rock Island County. "Are the lights on? Is the house decorated?"

Karen Smith prefers her grandkids don't trick or treat at all. She takes them to a church Halloween party.

"It's a good alternative because they're safe," says Smith, "they're in some place that's safe, a safe atmosphere."

Police don't want people to be scared to trick or treat on Halloween, they just want them to be careful and prepare ahead of time.

"Are there any sex offenders in their neighborhood?" asks Schwigen, "not just on Halloween but anytime."

It's a shame the Riverside County Sheriff's Department is not as dedicated to protecting our children from the child molesters as the Illinois State Police is.

Day 164 - Recap, Dokich gets mad

It started out like most days protesting do, protesters on the side of the road, passing cars honking their horns. Later we would get a glimpse at the angry side of David Allyn Dokich, the side he tries to hide but can't quite control, the side that results in teenage girls being beaten and raped. Read on.

It was already dark, around 8 pm, when we saw the Rev. Abraham Capers, aka 'Limp Pimp Daddy' arrive in his black Jaquar. He drove up the driveway but the gates were locked. He waited a few minutes but no one would open the gates for him.

He headed back down the driveway. Once he got to the road he yelled something at the protesters. 'Molly' was yelling back and 'Alan' started walking up to the car asking "what, what, what?". Capers hit the gas and got out of there.

Around 8:30 pm 5 protesters headed up to the side of the clown house. They just stood there in the dark, quietly watching.

4 of them were crouched down behind the plywood the perverts have put up against the chain link fence. It makes for effective cover, thanks perverts!

The other, 'Alan', simply stood beside the fence. Soon the guy with long grey hair (we don't know who he is but we do not think he is a child molester) yelled "there is some f#%@er over by the fence".

As soon as he said that Dave Dokich came from around the corner yelling "where, where". He walked about halfway to the fence and stopped.

Time for a David Allyn Dokich - Conditions of Parole check.

  • You will remain inside your residence of record between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
We can add that to the growing list of parole conditions Dokich breaks and parole ignores.

It's interesting that Dokich only walked as far as he could without being picked up by the video cameras on that side of the house.

'Alan' started telling Dokich how his own son thinks he is a piece of crap. We have also been told that his brother Gary, who lives in Orange County, did not want to take him in because Gary has a teenage daughter. 'Alan' made sure to mention that.

The details really seemed to get to Dokich. It could be that he has told a completely different story to the other people in the halfway house and he does not want them to learn the truth.

Dokich then challenged 'Alan' to a fight. 'Alan' walked back down to the road and waited, alone, for Dokich at the driveway. Dokich never showed up, preferring to stay in the yard yelling. At one point Dokich yelled "your days are numbered". Is that a threat?

'Alan' continued to wait for Dokich, but after a few minutes of yelling and issuing threats Dokich ran back inside the house.

Thats all for this episode, tune in tomorrow, same Dokich channel, same Dokich time.

Our day in court - Recap

If you recall, 2 protesters were arrested back on September 1st.

You can click the 'Video' link and look for 'Protester Arrest Video' to watch the arrests happen.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department claims this was a citizens arrest by Harriet Cooks. However every indication is this was not a citizens arrest.

We were told by a source inside RSO that orders came down "from very high up" to "try to shake them".

Its been apparent from very early on that the Riverside County Sheriff's Department has not wanted us to exercise our Constitutional right to protest. Was this their pathetic attempt to "shake us up" and make us quit?

Time will tell.

We arrived at the Hall of Justice before 7:30 am. Already in line and waiting for us was 'Bonnies' husband 'Clyde'. Not only did he come to show his support, he came with a backup plan: A german chocolate cake with shiny new file inside. After 5 months of protesting child molesters and high risk sex offenders you learn to be prepared.

Once we got inside the building we found the 'criminal calendar'. It's a list of all the people who are supposed to appear in court that day. We frantically searched for our names to no avail.

We asked an RSO deputy what we were supposed to do since we were not on the calendar. I handed him my 'Notice to Appear'. He looked at it and replied "They arrested you for this?"

"They arrested you for this?" - Riverside County Sheriff's Deputy

I replied yes and he shook his head and chuckled. I asked him what was wrong and he said "I'm suprised someone in our department would do this". I told him I was sorry for him.

He bumped us ahead in line to see a clerk. She told us charges were never filed by the DA's office. The clerk stamped our papers to indicate that we did show up as required and we left.

How could this be? The Riverside County Sheriff's Department treats us like public enemy # 1, but apparently the district attorney's office does not agree and refused to file charges. It's nice to know someone in this county has their collective heads screwed on straight.

The Sheriff's department has refused our requests to get a copy of the incident report. What are they hiding? Could it be this was not a 'citizens arrest' as they claim, but instead was their futile attempt to run us off?

Another interesting note is that on the 'Notice to Appear' there is a section that says "Violations not committed in my presence, declared on information and belief." This was left unchecked on each of our notices. Directly below it is the 'arresting' officers signature, Deputy Gomez.

Therefore, according to Deputy Gomez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, we committed penal code 415 section 2 - disturbing the peace - in his presence.

There are a couple of problems with that. First its impossible to disturb the peace of a peace officer. Second, watch the arrest video. They drove up and arrested us in under 40 seconds. Even if it was technically possible to disturb the peace of a peace officer, which it is not, we did not have the time to do it.

We are pursuing further legal action.

More photos from the Norco protest

Back on Saturday, October 8th the good folks of Norco had a protest of their own. The State of California is trying to sneak sex offenders and child molesters into their neighborhood too.

Thanks to Joe for the additional photos.
